Dobie Shines in South Florida Collegiate Baseball League

Tyler Dobie was recently selected as a member of the First Team All - SFCBL, as a utility player, and was awarded the Evan Hirschbaum Sportsman of the Year Award.

Below is an excerpt from the SFCBL's website highlighting Dobie's accomplishments:

"Tyler Dobie is simply a player that any GM or Manager would want to have on their team.  A fan favorite and outstanding teammate, Tyler was a major part of the of the Lightning lineup as he played multiple positions on the field and also pitched in many key spots.  Tyler also displayed a great respect for the game as his coaches said, "he plays the game the right way".  At the plate Dobie hit .341 with 8 doubles and 1 HR and was named to the 2017 North Division All-Star Team.  On the mound Dobie was 2-3 with a 4.90 ERA and had 20 K's in 25.2 innings with only 3 walks.  Dobie will look to be an impact player at the next school he transfers to after junior college as he comes off an outstanding summer season."
