In game two it looked like the Navy squad would cruise to a 2-0 series lead up 8-2 in the last inning. Columbia scored a run on an RBI single by Justin Fluhart. After Hunter Eitelbach walked, Aaron Pierson smashed a double to right-center field scoring Fluhart but a great relay cut down Eitelbach at the plate for the first out of the inning. Columbia added another run on an RBI single to cut the lead to 8-5. Quintin Smith then launched the first pitch he saw over the left-center field fence to cut the lead to 8-7. That's as close as they would get as Eric Peters grounded out to shortstop Eli Hott to end the game and take a commanding 2-0 series lead.
In game three, Navy scored six runs in the fourth and fifth innings with help from a two-run home run by Nate Darwin and a bases clearing double by Joey Perfette to sweep the Laker Nation world series 21-3. Dylan McCartney picked up the win on the mound while Cam King took the loss.
