Malik Whitaker had a game-high 30 points as the Laker Freshmen avenge their only loss of the year by defeating Penn State Altoon Reserve 104-88 at Carc Arena Thursday night. In mid-January, the Lions upset the Lakers at home 92-84 and handed them their first loss of the season. Tonight was a different story as the Lakers led most of the way by double digits as they had five players in double figures. Whitaker who also had 14 rebounds, Davis Malloy (4-6 from 3pt range) and Antonio Marr each had 19. Tywon Montgomery had a double-double scoring 15 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. DaQuan Evans was three assists short of a triple-double recording 17 points, grabbing 11 boards and dishing out seven assists. The Lakers will be back in action on Monday, Feb 3 as they host Hocking College. Game time is 5 pm.
