Down 25-0 after Southwest Virginia's Dominic Fields beat Garrett's Austin Dyson 3-2 in the 157 weight class, the Lakers mounted a comeback to defeat the visiting Flying Eagles 27-25 at Carc Arena on Sunday afternoon. Davy Mundey started the comeback by defeating James Ackers at 165 6-0. At 174, Trevor Fawley wasted no time in pinning Scott Everding early in the first period. After Garrett's Christopher Estrada and Loic Tueguo won their matches by forfeit at 184 and 197 the score heading into the 285-pound match was 25-21 Southwest Virginia. Leading 8-1, Garrett's heavyweight Tanner Clark pinned Ethan Rourke with two seconds left in the third period to give Garrett the lead and the match. After the break, Garrett will travel to Niagara County Community College for the Thunderwolves Duals and open on Dec 6 and Dec 7.
