Tanner Clark signs with Kent State

Tanner Clark, a staple in the young Garrett College wrestling program the first two years, recently signed to wrestle at the Division I level with Kent State University.  Clark was a two-time NJCAA national qualifier.  In 2019, Tanner qualified at the 197 pound weight class and made a run to the Round of 16.  In 2020, Tanner won his first Eastern District II Championship at 285 pounds and finished 9th at the NJCAA national tournament.  Clark was a big piece of the, first ever, recruiting class at Garrett College.  "Our program and athletic department would like to congratulate Tanner Clark, on reaching his lifelong dream, of becoming a Division I student-athlete.  We are proud to have called him a Laker the last two years.  He is a big reason why our program will continue to grow.  Tanner grew academically, athletically, and socially during his time at Garrett College.  We wish him nothing but the best at Kent State!", stated Coach Chambers.  Clark graduated, May 2020, with an A.A. in General Studies.  Congratulations Tanner!
