Joe Embleton enters his third season as an Assistant Wrestling Coach at Garrett College, playing a vital role in the continued rise of the Lakers wrestling program at the NJCAA level.

During his time on staff, Garrett has emerged as a nationally recognized program, highlighted by a 10-5 dual meet record in the 2024–2025 season and a top 15 national ranking. Coach Embleton has been instrumental in the development and success of the team’s athletes, contributing to a total of 15 NJCAA national qualifiers during his tenure.

Embleton also places a strong emphasis on academic achievement, helping guide the program to the 12th highest team GPA in the country for the 2024–2025 academic year. Under his support and mentorship, Garrett has produced 9 NWCA Scholar All-Americans, reflecting the program’s commitment to excellence both on the mat and in the classroom.

Known for his technical knowledge, energy, and strong rapport with student-athletes, Coach Embleton continues to be a key figure in Garrett’s culture of discipline, growth, and high performance.
